Title: Do Leaders Take Leave?

[Two Minute Read]

If one is asked whether he needs to take leave, chances are many would agree to the need. Man needs a break. Few terms include; Career break, semester break, sabbatical break, maternity break, bio-break and lunch break.

Another question may follow.

Is there a retirement age, for that matter. ‘Jadi orang pencen

All may recall during the Movement Control Order or MCO. All seemed to enjoy those unprecedented ‘leave days’ but it didn’t last long. Many went back to work; physically or via online mode.

Look around us and one may notice some friends who used to work and now have retired but opted to do other things instead. They may have started to do things that they have been wanting to do, like gardening, writing or even doing social works. Of course, with exceptions. There are also those who are just practically ‘doing nothing’ or ‘duduk rehat’.

Hence, how do we actually define works or being at work? Is it limited only to its physical presence like 9-5?

The term work isn’t the same like the Arabic term ‘kasab’. Luxuriously defined to include all doings that bring about kindness to self and others. No mention on 9-5 thing.

Do we, as a person cum leader (to self and others) actually need to take leave?
